The Great Pumpkin Carnival

Giant ones, tiny ones, heavy ones and oddly shaped ones – there will be pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and creations on display at the Great Pumpkin Carnival at Hamilton Gardens on Sunday 2nd April.

With categories such as the ‘Heaviest pumpkin over 200kg’, ‘Best carved pumpkin’, ‘Best mature miniature pumpkin’ and more, you’ll find more than your regular supermarket pumpkins at the Great Pumpkin Carnival. Plus 2017 will see the return of the pumpkin races.

And with all this pumpkin growing there is sure to be delicious baking with pumpkin cake, pumpkin pie and pumpkin muffins all competing in the baking category.

The downhill pumpkin racing will also be happening in the afternoon along with the Pumpkin Pile Competition, making this event a great family day out, plus you don’t need to grow a giant pumpkin to go along and enjoy the festivities!
