What Hamilton & Waikato has to offer your conference, event or function
Hamilton has established a reputation for hosting successful major events like the Hamilton leg of the V8 Supercars, Balloons over Waikato and the National Agricultural Fieldays. That wealth of experience makes it perfect for conferences as well – and the city and its surrounds are all geared up for them with a range of options to suit conferences of all sizes.
The region’s central location puts it close to half of New Zealand’s population, within easy reach of the cities of Rotorua, Tauranga and Auckland. Hamilton city itself is situated on SH1, and on the main rail trunkline while Hamilton International Airport is just a short 20 minute drive from central Hamilton.
The region provides a variety of meeting venues and excellent restaurants and cafes are plentiful throughout the region, as well as shops, museums, cinemas and theatres, and all within walking distance of central Hamilton accommodation. Add a modern boutique inner-city casino, wine bars and clubs showcasing live bands and you have a vibrant city nightlife scene.
