Lee Picken has been appointed Head of Events at Mystery Creek, a role managing the Events team across all events, both public and private. Such events include Fieldays, Equidays, THE Expo, Festival One, Camper Care NZ Motorhome & Caravan Show and The Great NZ Food Show – as well as all conference and incentive business.
“I love the diversity of my role managing the team working on MCEC-owned events, which all have very different audiences, and then the exciting area of private and corporate events that happen on site,” says Picken.
“As well, the flexibility of the venue in being able to hold small, intimate functions in our Heritage Village, through to an event like Fieldays, bringing 120,000 visitors through the gate to view over 900 exhibitors covering the whole 42 hectares of site.”
As Mystery Creek Events Centre’ Event Planner, Alyshia Wallis manages the design and delivery of all private and corporate events held at Mystery Creek.
“I love being able to work with the client to come up with a way to transform our venues into the perfect fit for their event,” says Wallis. “The diversity of events that we have here at Mystery Creek doesn’t hurt either!”
Melissa Williams has been appointed Key Account Manager, covering all business events and is the point of contact for all new business. Williams says she is excited to have launched into her new role at Mystery Creek Events Centre.
“I love engaging with clients of all kinds, gaining a detailed understanding of their objectives and requirements while attending an event on site as an exhibitor, or hosting a conference or function here at Mystery Creek,” says Williams.
“Helping to ensure our clients have a successful, enjoyable and positive overall experience while working with us is imperative to me.”
