May 18: Refreshing new look for Mystery Creek Pavilion

The Mystery Creek Pavilion has emerged more imposing than ever after two thousand litres of paint has gone into refreshing the exterior of the building over the last two months.

At 8000m² the Pavilion sits centre stage of Mystery Creek and is a premier space for exhibitions, industry shows, large conventions, concerts and festivals. The Pavilion is one of the largest clear span buildings of its type in New Zealand and well suited to large scale events.

New Zealand National Fieldays Society CEO Peter Nation says it was time to give the building a facelift as it hadn’t been refreshed since opening in 1995.

An iron sand colour palate was chosen to form part of a new building design and colour policy recently implemented. All buildings will now comply to the Society colour coordinated colour scheme throughout the site, with the painting of Mystery Creeks other buildings being progressively completed over the next few months.

Mystery Creek is owned and operated by the not-for-profit New Zealand National Fieldays Society Inc., which is also a registered charity.

The revitalised look has come just in time for the special 50th anniversary Fieldays event which kicks off in June.
