The Taniwha

Held along the banks of the mighty Waikato River, The Taniwha multisport event returns on Saturday, November 4 2017.

This event consists of five mountain bike categories, five off-road trail run categories, three off-road trail walk categories and a team relay mountain bike and relay trail run.

Mountain bikers will have a choice of the 83km, 60km, 42.2km, 22km, 14km and the 83km team relay categories across varying sections of the Waikato River Trails taking in the views of Lake Karapiro, Lake Arapuni and the rural Waikato country side.

The trail run/walk categories include the 60km (run only), 42.2km (run only) 21.1km, 14km, 7km, and 60km team relay with the tracks crossing swing bridges, passing by Mangakino and taking in native bush.

With levels to suit everyone, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in this great event.
