A myriad of walking and biking trails are also on offer in the area – for a spectacular view take a short walk to Bridal Veil Falls, get your heart pumping with a hike up Mt Karioi or a cycle along the Te Uku Wind Farm track. Quintessential kiwi pastimes like watching a relaxing sunset, taking a dip at Nqarunui (Ocean) Beach or eating fish and chips along the waterfront are also ever-popular with locals and visitors alike.
