The market is the perfect way to greet a Sunday in the Waikato, with a variety of stalls that bring together some of the best artisan products and produce the Waikato region has to offer. The Hamilton Farmers’ Market began in 2006 with just 15 stallholders and has since blossomed in popularity, becoming one of the more well-known Waikato markets. Today you’ll see a wide range of fare including fresh local fruits and vegetables, hand-crafted breads and pastries, artisan butchers and fish mongers, honey, condiments and even gourmet dog-treats, - there is something to fill everyone’s shopping bags.

Cambridge Farmers’ Market
The Cambridge Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday morning from 8am to 12pm in Victoria Square. Visit the market to meet the locals and purchase some tasty bread and cheese for a picnic alongside the Waikato River or nearby Lake Karapiro or take home some fresh local fruits and vegetables, eggs, milk, baked goods and more from over 40 stalls.

Te Awamutu Twilight Farmers’ Market
The Te Awamutu Twilight Farmers’ Market is held on Thursday evenings from 3.30pm to 6pm during daylight savings months. Stalls feature freshly baked breads and pastries, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, salmon, flowers, trees and seedlings. Growers and producers will be happy to talk to you about where your food has come from or how best to prepare, cook or store it.

Hamilton Night Market
Every Saturday the K-mart car park turns into the Hamilton Night Market from 5pm to 11pm.
